What is a Morris Tour?

A Morris Tour is usually an annual event involving a weekend of dance with other sides invited from around the country. Glory of the West's tour usually happens on alternative years, but in 2008 we decided to hold just one day of dance, on September 13th with a walking tour of Topsham. We enjoyed this so much that we are repeated the event in 2009, on Saturday 19th September.

2011 is our 35th Anniversary so we are going back to Shaldon and Teignmouth for a whole weekend of danceon 9th and 10th July.

The Glory Tour

Our tour is based at Shaldon near Teignmouth on the South Devon coast, where we camp at a local campsite. We all meet on the Friday night and spend Saturday dancing at pubs and other venues around Shaldon and Teignmouth. In the evening, we get together for a private party, and follow it up by more dancing on Sunday.
